Come In & Let Down Your Hair: Lily’s Third Birthday

This right here is a three year old princess. She splits her days as Elsa & Rapunzel and most recently she’s added Doc McStuffins to the mix. Lily’s birthday was awhile ago like in January (ugh) The day to day of life has gotten the best of me. But better late than never, right 🙂

Her birthday is probably my favorite day ever, so we party big and being a party planner and designer it’s nearly impossible for me to scale it down. Although this year the joke was that this was a scaled down party, Matt would probably disagree though.

I went with a little more store bought decor than I usually do but when your toddler loves princesses how can you not spend all your money at Party City.

For the Table decor Matt and I put together Rapunzel braids. I was IN LOVE with them and they were a labor of love let me tell you. But seeing Lily’s face when she saw them was worth every bit of work. There was also one as garland above the food table. I got flower bouquets at Michaels and placed them through the braids. That’s the one thing I didn’t get some great pictures of.

The party was earlier in the day so we had a delicious brunch. I’ll share some of my favorite breakfast/brunch recipes soon. Most of the food was served in cast iron skillets in honor of Flynn Rider and the plates I just cut out handles and glued them onto the bottom of black paper plates so each guest got their own skillet 🙂 Fun, cheap and easy!

The cake!! I wish I could of made it a week earlier and had it as the centerpiece on our dining table. I wanted to look at it longer. I learned last year with her Elmo cake that I am not the fondant decorating mom. I love how perfectly imperfect it is, it’s homemade and looks like it.

Isn’t this printable the cutest!! I’m so excited to do this every year with Lily!!

You guys!! She sang happy birthday to herself!!!

The anticipation 🙂

And they all lived happily ever after

THE END
