Merry Christmas! Every year I say I can’t believe it’s Christmas time and here I go again. I can’t believe it’s Christmas time. I am extra excited about Christmas this year because Lily is excited about it. She is 22 months old and notices everything. It’s so fun watching her little face light up and get excited about the holiday.

Today I have a fun little DIY for you especially if you have littles in the house. I have seen this on Pinterest and decided I would make one for our house. I decided to laminate all the pieces so they last through the years. It’s really affordable and easy so here we go.

Here’s what you will need!

-Black and orange construction paper

-Circle Cutters or a cup works great

-Ribbon or paper for scarf

-Tape and museum puttyĀ (I used the museum putty to attach all the snowman pieces to the door)

I bought these circle cutters from Creative Memories years ago and am so happy I did. I use them all the time.

This ribbon is amazing!! It’s like a real scarf and it was 60% off which makes it even better.

It was done in less than a 30 minutes. My favorite kind of craft easy and cheap.

My Sister in Law Emily is having her first baby, a little boy! A couple weeks ago I co hosted her shower with my other sister in law Kate. We had it at a fantastic restaurant. If you are in the Sacramento area check out Cafeteria 15l. Make sure you get the Truffle Tater Tots.

My inspiration was The Giving Tree, Emily’s favorite children’s book.

Lily’s nursery is my favorite room in the house. I had lots of ideas on how I wanted her room to be and it turned out better than I imagined.
It was all pretty overwhelming once we got home from the hospital we were trying to figure out how to care for this new little baby and decorating a nursery wasn’t exactly a top priority. My friend Laura was so excited for us and wanted to help so she flew out from Houston Texas to help put this beautiful room together. I could not of done it without her!
This sign was the inspiration piece for the room. I actually bought this on sale at Hobby Lobby in November believing that Matt and I would be parents soon!

Lindsey Letters Canvas from Hobby Lobby

Crib sheet and crib skirt from Land of Nod
The dresser we found on craigslist it was super dark wood and Laura painted it in Shabby Paint Coral Paradise.

I found this adorable gold dot changing pad cover on Etsy and they had a matching sheet so I got both. I’m a sucker for the gold polka dots.

Hair bow storage is an easy DIY project made out of an oatmeal container and fabric.
I found this perfect gold lamp at the goodwill for $6.99

Opposite the crib is our fabulous gold polka dot wall. I have seen lots of variations of this on pinterest. We went with the bigger dots and spread them out so it feels more like wallpaper.
The dots are gold contact paper from Interior Place and the book shelves are from Ikea.

Isn’t this basket amazing?! It was made by a dear friend of the family.

This beautiful gold heart decor was made by my friend Laura, she is amazing!! They are made with canvas, fabric and tissue paper.

Another great printable from Etsy.

And here is our sweet girl Lily, loving her crib!

Thanks for taking a tour of Lily’s nursery with me.

I was in Hobby Lobby a couple weeks ago and found these amazing framed sayings and scriptures. I immediately fell in love with them!! I wasn’t crazy about the frames they came in so I looked up the artist Lindsey Letters  found her website and ordered two designs online.
Here is a sampling of some of her work!

This one I adore. Wouldn’t it be perfect in a nursery? I’m keeping it in my baby file

There were so many to choose from I had a hard time deciding. The moment I read this marrige/unity prayer I knew that would be a great anniversary gift for Matt. It is such a beautiful prayer for marriage.
