Celebrate U: heritage church women's retreat

A couple weeks ago we set off to Lake Tahoe for our annual Women’s Retreat. Our theme this year was based on an adorable book Celebrate You: sharing the beauty of your story.   Gold spray painted cans embellished with ribbons held the centerpiece plants.  Pennant flags with the retreat logo and pom poms were an added touch.  Baby’s breath are one of my favorite flower to decorate with. One bunch goes a long way, it matches all styles and…

dslr newbie

Earlier this year I purchased my very first Dslr camera. This was something I had been wanting for a long time and I was so excited to finally have this little baby all to myself.  After a lot of research on Canon vs Nikon the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 was the winner. The first thing we had to do was prep and paint the chalkboard wall. I did some research online and found that the best way to do a…

before and after

I have recently taken on a new job as wedding coordinator at Capital Mountain Camp. Capital Mountain occupies 40 acres of stunning scenery in the Sierra Nevada mountains.  There are several multi-purpose rooms here at the camp and one in particular that would serve as a perfect bridal suite. These rooms were in need of a makeover so I went to work pinning, polyvoring and enlisted help from some amazing friends.  The rooms have come a long way, they aren’t…
